This was a prototype for a home media center PC. It was fully functional, but was never picked up for production. It’s unfortunate, really, as I think this would look a lot cooler sitting near my TV than my Amazon Fire TV box.
Had it been picked up for production, it would have sat on a base that incorporated the “Terminator” name plate. That plate would have folded down to reveal the DVD tray (this was before Blu-ray). The skull would have attached to the base by several chromed vertebrae.
